Wilder Ranch, Santa Cruz

It has been a while since I last shot a portrait session at Wilder Ranch - it's a fantastic location, lots of  barns with great color and texture- that photograph so well. Not to mention, also a perfect place to hike-bike and look at the ocean- my favorite things to do.. when i am not photographing!

My long time clients, Shannon, Shawn and Kiely meet me there and were up and ready for anything. they are  really great and super fun to work with. They are expecting another addition to their family.. yay! So, shortly, Kiely will be a big sister!  She was such a trooper throughout our morning, she is so easy going.. willing to sit still for the family shots. She really got going once she got into her tutu.. and was chasing bubbles for days!  i know.. i am a sucker for little girls in tutu's.. she was just too cute!! Shannon did a great job with her maternity photos all laid out on a tree branch while being 8 months pregnant..  again she was a real sport- it could not have been that comfortable!

Thanks again guys for the opportunity to work with you! Here are a few of my favs from the day.. please enjoy!

We had  a great day at the beach- they are  a fun and loving family.. and soooo easy to work with!!  We basically just ran around and had fun.. hardly work at all! I am so lucky to do what i do!! and I just  love shooting at Pajaro Dunes State Beach. It is a great location for family portraits and has a wonderful grove of trees as well! 100 % AWESOME!

It takes a healthy amount of energy to photograph babies, but the rewards always outweigh the effort! Actually, Whitney and all of her family members took turns cooing, singing and playing the tambourine during our family portrait session. It was hilarious. They really did most of the hard work for sure. I loved seeing the whole family so full of love and beam with delight over their newest edition, Lennon Grace. Working with Lennon was effortless. she is the happiest baby and well beyond her 4 1/2 months. When Grandma changed her into her tutu-her cuteness was almost unbearable!! Thanks guys!
