Santa Cruz Film Festival- Food Fight After Party
As part of the Santa Cruz Film Festival documentary filmmaker, Chris Taylor’s film Food Fight was featured on May 12, 2009. The film explores the damage brought on by the industrialization of our current food system. The film promotes the idea of quality over quantity and our right to have fresh healthy food -of course it encourages the viewers to buy local and eat organic. Beautifully shot and well-documented film with notable chefs such as Chez Panisse owner, Alice Waters, Wolfgang Puck, Jeremiah Tower and Suzanne Going are all interviewed.
An after party reception was organized by Kathryn Lukas and held at her Farmhouse Culture Kitchen. Amazing- standing room only and a packed house. It was a great opportunity to celebrate our own abundance of local produce and talented food artisans. All are promoting the same fresh healthy food agenda and a need for change. All food and drink were graciously donated by local producers who truly get it. It was simply amazing! .

Matt + Elaine's Engagement Session
Elaine and Matt both live in So. Cal. I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive to work with them since, Elaine works in the film industry. I was a little intimidated- I got over quick though! I had an instant connection from our first conversation and I knew I wanted to work with them both of their "big day"!

Nestldown Bridal Showcase, Los Gatos- CA.
Last Thursday I had an opportunity to attend a bridal showcase held at Nestldown, located in the Redwoods in Los Gatos. I was super excited because I have always heard great things about Nestldown and it’s stunning property. Since I have not yet had the opportunity to photograph a wedding there yet… I was anxious to take a peek!
If you are looking for a natural setting for your wedding venue- Nestldown will not disappoint. This is a very intimate and private venue with stunning views!
Couples were invited to tour the grounds and speak with some of the great wedding vendors in the Bay Area. Hors D” oeuvres were served by La Bocca Fina. Yea, I was converted to a Lamb fan.. hate to admit it.. but it was out of this world! Thanks guys!! Great friendly staff as well. We were all also serenaded by Latin Jazz Musician, Rolando Morales- who was really great!!
Some other highlights included a photo booth, provided by Photoworks Interactive. Glad I met them and was introduced to their services- super great people and a really fun idea for a wedding. Cant forget the train ride as well-it was super! A shout out to Amy Frugoli at Twitterpated Weddings, always good to see you!
